So on a whim I bought some makla snuff at a local shop. It appears it's super moist, basically a moist hockey puck in the can! How are you supposed to handle this stuff?
Hmmmm, looks like it might be "chew" and not nasal snuff?
I believe you're correct
It's more like snus in smaller prillas because it's very strong.
Also the Makla Neffa is actually nasal snuff.
This is el kantara and red. They were on the same rack at my local store so I assumed they were snuff.

What a find, lucky you! Makla (aka
) is one of the most potent oral tobacco products. The red one is strongest in the range, the green (minty) is a tad milder.
Form a tight pea-sized ball (aka prilla), flatten a bit, put it under your
lip, enjoy! It will burn, but it's a part of the fun. Just don't forget to wash your fingers afterwards, the stuff is highly alkalized.
Makla is virtually spitless, though you should avoid swallowing saliva, if any.
Some folks wrap their makla prillas in a rolling paper. This practice prevents the mess in your mouth and is somewhat friendlier to your gums/lip. I would advice using unbleached natural (extra fine or ultra thin) rolling paper. One half of the regular size paper is enough for one prilla.
As far as I know, none of the two nasal snuffs produced by the same manufacturer (Sifaco Benelux) is available on the USA market, but you can order them both online:
(dry, fine, strong nasal snuff with a minuscule hint of mint)
(dry, fine, strong nasal snuff, plain)

Marla Neffa Ifrikia is a potent snuff with a nice grind. Not much going on with the aroma but I prefer it to the Taxis etc of similar strength. Was just discussing this with
