In praise of Irish No. 22

My oh my. I’ve been working my way through some of the remaining Wilson’s line and I just got to this one. Where have you been all my life? Sometimes it’s as sweet as Honey Bee, sometimes it’s as smoky as Garrett’s, sometimes it’s as biscuity of HDT. Toasty, fine, but easy to take. Just when you think you’ve found a favourite you stumble across something new and better.

Agree. With the light bergamota scent, it is an everyday classic.

I plan on trying it. Isn’t it supposed to be the same as Fribourg High Dry Toast?

I may be mad, but I believe if you’re getting a light bergamot scent from IHT 22, you have a contaminated tin.

No… is a noob issue… I have number 22  I went too quick to write my post without being used to them yet… sorry!

I’m no expert on unscented toasts - my nose is too wizened and ghosted by Hedges - but I think No.22 compares very favourably with HDT, and for a significantly lower outlay.

It compares VERY favourably with HDT! But… My significant other hates the smell of it on me. It was good whilst it lasted :-<

I can use this one every day. I’m working on a half pound tub of it.
