SEPTEMBER 1914.
Mr. Churchill’s Snuff.
The snuff-taking habit is growing on Mr. Churchill. In the middle of the question hour yesterday I noticed he made a hurried exit from the House of Commons to beg a pinch from the doorkeeper, who keeps a supply for MPs. On his return to the Treasury Bench he was in imminent risk of startling the House with a succession of explosive sneezes, but he managed to suppress the report by burying his face in the folds of his handkerchief.
My comment.

A World War has just started and the English press managed to find a story about snuff and sneezing .
This is the kind of reporting that made The Press Of Great Britain , Great.
It reads like a line of script from the British TV comedy series Black Adder.
